TAMANG HERITAGE TREKKING is newly explored trekking trail in Langtang area and the nearest national park, north of Kathmandu valley. And only accessible by bus/private vehicles. The 1710 sq. km. of the park extends over parts of Nuwakot, Rasuwa, and Sindhupalchok districts in the southern mountainous terrain of the Nepal-China (Tibet) border.
There are four main trails in Langtang valley including 1) Langtang Valley, 2) Tamang Heritage, 3) Helambu – Gosaikunda Lake and the off-beaten trek Ganjala Pass cover much of the Langtang National park.
Tamang Heritage trek covers the Nepal-Tibet border (Rasuwagadhi).
The trail follows Gatlang, Tatopani, Nagthali, Timure, Rasuwagadhi back via Bridim to Syabrubesi or treks to Kyanjin Gompa furthermore. Tamang is the Nepalese mountain dwellers and Tibetan descent culture goes back to hundreds of years. The craftsmanship, dress, traditionally built stone-mud houses and the colorful prayer flags
reflect the remoteness and the serenity of the Himalayan in the Langtang valley.
