Tamang Heritage Trek

TAMANG HERITAGE TREKKING is newly explored trekking trail in Langtang area and the nearest national park, north of Kathmandu valley. And only accessible by bus/private vehicles. The 1710 sq. km. of the park extends over parts of Nuwakot, Rasuwa, and Sindhupalchok districts in the southern mountainous terrain of the Nepal-China (Tibet) border.
There are four main trails in Langtang valley including 1) Langtang Valley, 2) Tamang Heritage, 3) Helambu – Gosaikunda Lake and the off-beaten trek Ganjala Pass cover much of the Langtang National park.
Tamang Heritage trek covers the Nepal-Tibet border (Rasuwagadhi).
The trail follows Gatlang, Tatopani, Nagthali, Timure, Rasuwagadhi back via Bridim to Syabrubesi or treks to Kyanjin Gompa furthermore. Tamang is the Nepalese mountain dwellers and Tibetan descent culture goes back to hundreds of years. The craftsmanship, dress, traditionally built stone-mud houses and the colorful prayer flags
reflect the remoteness and the serenity of the Himalayan in the Langtang valley.

Outline Itinerary:
  • Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport and welcome by our representative. Transfer to hotel.
  • Day 02: Preparation and sightseeing at the world heritage sights around the valley.
  • Day 03: Drive Kathmandu – Syabrubesi Syabru Beshi by bus/private vehicles.
  • Day 04: Trek Syabrubesi – Gatlang (2238mtrs.).
  • Day 05: Trek Gatlang – Tatopani (2607mtrs.).
  • Day 06: Trek Tatopani – Nagthali – Thuman (2338mtrs.).
  • Day 07: Trek Timure – Bridim (2229mtrs.).
  • Day 08: Trek Bridim – Syabrubesi (1450mtrs.).
  • Day 09: Drive Syabrubesi – Kathmandu.
  • Day 10: Farewell and transferred to Airport for your onward destination.
